Fulfillment

Fulfillment Formula: Two Keys To More Fulfilling Life

In Lifestyle, Purpose by Tuomo Vauhkonen1 Comment

Fulfillment is my goal when I squeeze my head on the pillow at the end of the day. What dictates that success can vary, but for me, I have tried to simplify this process to its core elements.

How can I make life as simple as possible that allows the maximum amount of return on my efforts as possible?

Unfortunately, we are living in a world where the complexity is on the rise in our everlasting fight against inevitable Entropy.

It is also true that in today society, things that seem more complex are more attractive and rarer which in return puts their market value automatically higher.

Simplification, having, doing, and thinking less, yet experiencing more sounds like a winning formula to me.

I have been putting some thoughts together about what gives me and what I generally feel to be an interesting and simple way to achieve the greatest fulfillment out of our days.

The formula is as easy as J + H = F.
EnJOYment of the present moment + Happiness as a byproduct of our actions = Fulfillment!

Joy

Or the Enjoyment as I referred to it previously. The first ingredient of the fulfillment formula is Joy. To experience this state, an absolute Presence must be acquired.

I believe and feel that we experience the most amount of Joy when we are the most present in the activity that we are doing.
You feel at ease, light and in the Flow so to speak. Things happen naturally without much extra energy nor effort spent.
You do not force but allow yourself to move from one action to another easily and effortlessly.

More Joy and Enjoyment we experience the better off we are also physically.

I have yet to see a full blown research project on the effects of Joy towards our overall health. I bet there are tremendous health benefits when it comes to being engaged in Enjoyable activities and positive emotional states that come with Joy.

Happiness

A lot of people are chasing happiness, either from the inside of them OR from their external environments.

To me happiness is quite simple; It is a byproduct of our Lifestyle and things we do and experience in the world.

Unless you are a monk, a devoted yogi or otherwise have dedicated your life for minimal external influences, you are like the 99;999999 percent of the rest of us.

For me, the most sustainable way to experience the most amount and the most frequent feelings of happiness, is to develop a Lifestyle where Happiness is a byproduct!

When we do the things that we genuinely enjoy doing, with the people we feel connected to, in the environments that are healthy and vibrant we feel Happy. Or so I believe…

This is also the reason why happiness is something people chase because it comes and goes. We need to re-engage and reactivate those circuits that produce the feelings of Happiness as an outcome and the state of presence as Joy.

Because ultimately these two ingredients, Joy and Happiness summed up together lead to:

Fulfillment

One of my biggest fears in life is to go to bed with the music still within me, so I want to make sure that I play life to its fullest potential!

Being fulfilled is a major part in this puzzle.

In the end of my days, the state of fulfillment is the state that I am looking to find myself in. On a day to day basis as well as when my time is literally and eventually up, I want to feel fulfilled with my mission. And that I touched people’s hearts instead of only their minds.

When I attach Joy of being to doing enjoyable things that have a positive outcome, and I’m able to live a lifestyle that ultimately equates to happiness as its byproduct, I have achieved my goal of a fulfilling life.

I think, and feel that we should stop chasing money, fame, the next shiny object, even happiness or internal peace for that matter and focus on this single and simple question.

What would bring me the most fulfillment at the end of the day today?

Hope this helps you raise higher and create a more Fulfilling Lifestyle!
